Anyone up for some Spanish-Rock-Polka?

So school started up again on January 4th and claimed my life. I've only barely escaped for a few minutes to update with some new music.

Actually, today is another reader-feature day. First is La Camisa Negra, by Juanes, a Columbian singer and guitarist. Fun fact: La Camisa Negra means "the black shirt" in Spanish, and apparently there is a neo-fascist movement in Italy called the Fascist Blackshirts of Benito Mussolini. The neo-fascists heard this song and would salute to it, which upset the other Italians, who called for a boycott of the song. Juanes, the composer, has stated that the song has nothing to do with the fascist movement or of Mussolini, but "people can interpret songs all kinds of ways I guess". Anyway, just thought that was an interesting story.

Next is Lost, an Italian rock band that is freaking COOL! (Thanks for recommending them, Rachel!) Their music is definitely worth looking into, but this song is my favorite of what I've heard. "Sulla Mia Pelle" features Joel Madden from Good Charlotte, so there's one verse in English... but that's alright I guess :P

Lastly is an a capella song by a Finnish group that, as Sarah says, "tweaks my happy nerve". There's nothing like a good polka beat to put a smile on your face :D

Gosh! I just realized that I STILL haven't got any Asian stuff up here yet! That's next, I promise!
